Charitable Giving
At Urchfont Church of England Primary School, we believe that small actions can make a big difference. Our pupils are encouraged to show kindness and compassion by supporting causes both near and far and which are meaningful to them.
- Wider community fundraising: We help children around the world, including supporting two children in Sudan to stay in school, and we contribute to national appeals such as the Poppy Appeal, Children in Need, and Comic Relief.
- Local community: We take part in village events, opening the school for celebrations of work at the Scarecrow Festival, and Open Garden Day to raise money for good causes.
- Supporting our school: We work with USSPA (Urchfont School Staff and Parent Association) to fund projects that enhance learning and play, including our OPAL provision and SEND support, so every child has the resources they need to thrive.
Through these activities, our children learn that working together and helping others can make a real difference, both in school and in the wider world.
