Relationships and Behaviour Journey

At Urchfont Church of England Primary School, we believe that positive behaviour grows from positive relationships. Our approach is rooted in our Christian vision, “I can do all things through Him who gives me strength.” (Philippians 4:13), and our six Christian values of Respect • Compassion • Perseverance • Joy • Wisdom • Courage. These values give children a shared language for making positive choices, building strong relationships and learning from their experiences.

Our Urchfont Behaviour Journey follows four clear steps:

Reminder → Think → Reflect → Repair

This is a supportive coaching approach. Children are helped to understand their choices, regulate their emotions, reflect on how their actions affect themselves and others, and, when things go wrong, take responsibility and repair relationships.

At each stage, children are encouraged to draw upon our Christian values to help them make wise choices and move forward positively. We believe that mistakes are opportunities to learn and grow, and that every child deserves a fresh start.
